Thank you for your interest in the Union County Humane Society. Our work is very dependent on volunteers like you! If you're interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact us.

We currently have the following volunteer opportunities:

  • Dog Walking - every day - mornings (9:00 - 1:00) and evenings (2:00 - 5:00)

  • Cleaning the "Cat Cottage" - scoop litter boxes, feeding, wash bowls, fresh water, vacuum & mop floor (every morning); change litter once a week

  • Reception Desk - daily (10:00 - 1:00, 1:00 - 4:00)

  • Reception Assistant - daily (10:00 - 1:00, 1:00 - 4:00)

  • Grooming

  • Obediance Training

  • Foster Care

  • Janitorial Duties for Public Areas

  • Grounds Maintenance - grass cutting, weeding, watering plants, etc.

  • Laundry

  • Adoption Screening

  • Fund Raising

  • Education in Union County Schools
