Due to extensive overpopulation, there are many homeless animals in Union County. Part of UCHS's mission is to match these prospective pets with loving owners, and to provide instruction and assistance for proper pet care.

This page will be devoted to providing information about animals currently seeking homes. Please check here often for updated profiles – you may find a new member of your family waiting for you!

If you are interested in adopting one of the animals you find here, please submit an online dog adoption application, an online cat adoption application, email the adoption coordinator directly, or call 865-585-4620.

We welcome out of state adoptions! For an additional charge, we can have a pet transported to certain areas. We use Peterson Express Transport Service. Please click on "Locations" for the locations they pick up and drop off passengers. Due to the number of dogs they transport, they do not provide "door to door" deliveries, so it will be necessary for you to meet them at one of their stops.

If you are not in a position to foster or adopt a dog or a cat, you can still help our animals receive the care they need!
